Taking that perfect photo can be really difficult, so I’ve included just a few handy hints which I hope will help…
Camera Settings
Check that your camera is set to take your photos in a high setting. This will ensure the image is of print quality.
Blurry or Sunny Images
The trick here is simply to take as many photos as you can to ensure you don’t end up with a blurry photo or one with light areas from the sun. If I believe your photo will not provide the gorgeous final result you are looking for I will let you know.
Retouching
Please do not alter your images in any way. We will do any necessary minor retouching for you (removing blemishes and red eye, improving overall colour, and cropping).
Backgrounds
Try to take photo’s against a simple background such as a blank wall or outside on the grass. Simple backgrounds allow us to be more creative with your design.
General
The more photos the better…again I advise to take as many photos as you can – different angles, expressions, close ups and full body shots, portrait and landscape styles. Set your camera setting to black and white or sepia and take a few more! Use toys to make your baby smile and giggle, or pull a funny face. Send through as many photo’s as you want, I am happy to assist in choosing the perfect one for your design.
Professional Photos
If you have professional photo’s you intend to submit, we are happy to use them however please confirm you are allowed to with your photographer.
